How do I know my oil needs changing?
Following your vehicle’s owner’s manual and adhering to recommended maintenance intervals will help prevent potential engine issues by ensuring timely oil changes.
For 2008 and newer model-year vehicles, Ford suggests an oil change every 7,500 miles or every six months, whichever occurs first.
For 2007 and older model-year vehicles, Ford recommends changing the oil every 5,000 miles or every six months, whichever comes first.
Many newer vehicles also feature the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor® system on the dashboard, which alerts you when it’s time for an oil and filter change.
